TELE-RHEUMATOLOGY

More than 54 million Americans live with rheumatic disease in the U.S., according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), this is expected to grow to 67 million by 2030. Yet, with many practicing rheumatologists estimated to retire and a lack of new physicians entering the field, the number of rheumatologists is expected to decrease 24% to just 4,497 rheumatologists by 2030, This has generated an increased need for rheumatologist access, particularly among regional hospitals in rural communities. The Eagle Tele-Rheumatology service is rising to meet this increased need.

TELE-ENDOCRINOLOGY

There is a dire shortage of Endocrinologists available in the U.S. Over 38 million Americans suffer from diabetes, in addition to the estimated 8 million who remain undiagnosed, yet there are only around 8,000 total Endocrinologists available nationwide. There is a huge disparity between the amount of patients needing care and the number of qualified physicians who can provide that care. This disparity is further exacerbated for patients living in rural areas. Although 85% of those living with diabetes rely solely on their primary care providers for treatment, some patients may have more complex cases and need to be examined by a specialist. Endocrine-related disorders are often highly medicated – careful administration and monitoring is critical.

Our team of board-certified Tele-Endocrinologist is ready to support your hospital through outpatient clinic coverage so your patients can have access to the care they need.

Conditions our Tele-Endocrinologist can treat:
- Diabetes
- Thyroid Disorders
- Disorders of the hormone producing glands and pituitary gland
- some cancers
- other diseases impacting the endocrine system

Types of care our Tele-Endocrinologist can provide:
- Perform a full physical exam with the on-site nurse
- Identify specialty-related diseases
- Manage chronic diseases
- Direct necessary follow-up care
- Discuss diagnosis and treatment directly with patient
